PUT YOUR PHONE DOWN.
LET’S MAKE SOMETHING.
We spend enough time looking at screens.
Scrolling. Saving things we want to try. Sending each other videos saying “we should do this sometime.”
So, let’s actually do it.
Small creative afternoons and evenings around the table at SÊDONA. Something to make. Something to drink. Good music. New people.
Less scrolling. More making.
-
An excuse to get off our phones and actually do all those things we keep saving for later.
We’ll set the table, bring the materials, put some music on and spend a few hours making something together.
Every Gathering will be a little different. Clay one time. Flowers another. Something seasonal. Something completely new.
The activity changes. The idea stays the same: make something, meet someone, stay awhile.
-
Nope. And we’re not experts either.
There’s no teacher at the front of the room and no perfect result everyone needs to recreate.
Think less “come learn from us” and more:
“We’ve always wanted to try this. Want to try it with us?”
Sometimes we might invite someone who knows more than we do. Other times, we’ll figure it out together.
The point isn’t to master something.
The point is to actually do it.
-
Please do.
Meeting new people as an adult is weirdly hard. Especially when the only thing to do is… talk to strangers.
Here, there’ll already be something happening on the table. Our hands will be busy. Conversation has somewhere to start.
Come with a friend or come by yourself.
Either way, there’ll be a seat for you.
-
Absolutely not.
You don’t need experience. You don’t need to be “the creative one.” And whatever you make definitely doesn’t need to be good.
Make something wonky. Get clay under your nails. Put the flowers in the wrong place.
We’re here to try things, not be good at them.
